This site brings together our sailing route, stop reviews, recipes, useful gear and general updates from the boat. It is designed to be a practical, easy-to-browse record of where we have been and what we have learned along the way.
In 2025 I mainly used Polar Steps as a way to keep friends and family updated to our progress. I'm still going to use the Socials Channels as before, but I'm also going to try post a bit more detail on here too. Lets see how it goes!

Where we are now
La Rochelle
Back to another of our favourite locations. Some practical reasons for legging it down here so Anna can do a quick trip home to visit her Mum in hospital. I'll stay and look after the boat and pick another slot to visit.
Its such a huge marina here but the facilities are really good - and our current location is a short walk from the beach, the bakery and a take-away pizza place. And the public transport here is also excellent - we are next to the water bus stop into the city.
